About the Artist

Stephen P. Brown is a British-American conductor, composer, performer, and theatrical creator whose career spans four continents and more than 35 years. A two-time Global Music Awards winner, he has worked with the BBC Philharmonic, Hallé Orchestra, Brno State Opera, Verb Ballet, Ballet Rambert, and Spotlites Theatre.

Since relocating to Pinellas County in 2011, Brown has become an active contributor to the region’s cultural life — founding the Dunedin Music Society, leading multiple performing ensembles, and creating Heed The Bell, a Creative Pinellas-funded world premiere that exceeded attendance projections by 58%.

Trained at Trinity College of Music, Cleveland State University, Mannes College of Music, and Canford Summer School of Music.

Nothing to Prove is designed not as a single event, but as the foundation of a long-term theatrical residency — intended to establish Pinellas County as the permanent home of a distinctive live performance experience.
